New Zealand Update

It’s December already, so we thought we had better update y’all on New Zealand, seeing as we landed here in September.

To cut a long story short, we endured a minging flight from LAX – AKL, set up bank accounts, started working, found a flat to live in (after several motels) and settled into life in Auckland. We have even took up our hobbies again, Gemma is jogging and I’m playing futsal.

We have chosen to live in Mount Eden. It is walkable to the city from here, and the flat is furnished and at the right price. Of course, there is a huge mound of earth in our suburb, called Mount Eden. If I am not mistaken it is an old volcano. It’s pretty nice on top of it.

We have managed to flood the bathroom, break two windows and lock ourselves out already, which is further proof of us needing to keep moving I reckon.

My parents are coming out over the New Year and we will be seeing more of New Zealand with them. Until then, here are some snaps of Auckland so far:
