Slovakia has quite the reputation for it’s castles, or “hrad” as they are known locally. It is home to over 100 of them, and the avid travellers among you may even have visited a few. In this post we take a look at the best castles, so that you know what to do in Slovakia.
I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to review the Adaaran Select Meedhupparu, in the Maldives. If you haven’t yet read it or seen the video, my journey here was rocky to say the least, see here. Alternatively, read on for my complete review of Meedhupparu and the Adaaran Select resort.
Sometimes travel tests your patience. The ones that keep up with the More Passport Stamps Twitter account will know that I am currently in the Maldives (alright for some). However, often you have to go through hell to get to heaven. My original plan was to get a lift to Birmingham Airport, fly with Emirates to Maldives (via Dubai) then get a seaplane to Meedhupparu, my first Maldivian destination.
I wanted to stay in a 5 * hotel in Budapest, and there are a few options. After much deliberation and research I opted for the Corinthia. It was to be one of my favourite business trips to date, and this post is my complete and honest review of the Corinthia Hotel in Budapest.
I chose the Corinthia for many reasons, including location, spa facilities, lounge facilities and personal recommendations. I had heard from other respected travellers very positive reviews about Corinthia hotels in general, and I wanted to see for myself.
On my recent trip to Budapest with some friends, I had the opportunity to work with BeersOnWheels Budapest, a beer bike company in Budapest. I had never even been on a beer bike, so I was definitely excited to review Beers On Wheels Budapest!
If you’re unsure what a beer bike is, it’s basically a multi passenger vehicle driven by pedal power that has the added bonus of beer pumps being hooked up to a beer keg. This now means that you can get fit whilst drinking beer, the dream!
My friend turned 40 recently and as such decided to have a lads holiday in Benidorm, Spain. It has a reputation for being a mini-Britain and some see it as the homeland of smut and cheap alcohol. It had never been on my list, but it’s my friends’ birthday and we go where he says. My job is to find out if there is more to Benidorm than being a warm version of Skegness.
I’ve not long got back from a short break in Puerto Del Carmen, Lanzarote, and thought it would be handy to make a quick guide of the do’s and don’t’s, complete with some mini reviews, so you know what to do in Lanzarote.
#LaTomatina is it’s official name, and throwing tomatoes is the game, but is it any good? I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to review La Tomatina, which had been on my bucket list for over a decade! This classic festival dates back to a 1940’s feud and has grown exponentially ever since, but is it any good? Is it just a tourist trap now? So read on for a complete guide to La Tomatina, including everything you need to know and all the tips and tricks to maximise your time there.
In January I had the opportunity to review the quirky Lady Hamilton Hotel in Stockholm.
Nestled in Gamla Stan, the location on paper looks unbeatable, within walking distance of everything Stockholm has to offer. The reality when you arrive is no different, and after a swift 15 minute walk from the Arlanda Express terminal (if you are flying in) you are in the beating heart of Stockholm on the doorstep of a very funky, folk style hotel.
